“Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.” (x)
What’s the composer that Natasha is always saying she thinks Carmilla liked? Is it Claudio Monteverdi? He’ was an Itialian Baroque composer. There’s also Annunzio Paolo Mantovani, and I could swear she says Mantovani, but Mantovani is from the 1900s and that feels far too recent. I need to know for reasons and I can’t find where she references him. Edit: It’s always in video interviews that she references him. Surely someone can confirm?

Happy to help! You can find all my fics under the name Runwithwolves on ao3. That said, with 73 Carmilla fics it can be hard to track down so here’s the link!
And on the off chance you’re not talking about a Carmilla AU, I did write a Hades/Persephone twist original story with Pluto/Freya so here’s A First Encounter with Flowers.
Enjoy cupcake!
If you haven’t read this one though, seriously check it out. I love it.

headcanon that when Carmilla becomes mortal she loses her heightened night vision abilities and being in dark rooms makes her uncomfortable because she can’t see anything anymore and it reminds her of the time she spent in the coffin so Laura sticks little adhesive glow in the dark stars to the ceiling
Hey! Here’s a link to my story, currently posted on ao3.
Summary: Laura Hollis and her dad are down on their luck, but Laura is determined to get them a Christmas tree for the first time in years. Carmilla Karnstein and her brother Will work at the Karnstein Christmas tree lot downtown. What happens when their worlds collide? Sparks fly, first kisses abound, and Carmilla has the best Christmas ever. Happy ending, because we need that when it’s cold. Story will be told in three parts.
